If there is a place I never fail to pass by on a night out with the crew, it's got to be Brew Bistro.

The music is ever so in sync with my moods.

On this particular visit, though, I had suggested to a friend we try out their brunch. I am busy wishing my arms were wings...it's right after church and I am yet to arrive at the venue despite it being twenty minutes past agreed meeting time.

After the security check I walk into the restaurant and find Zane patiently waiting for me. He had just ordered for a bottle of water waiting on me.

Talk of a good mannerisms.

We inform the waiter that we'll be trying out their brunch and so he informs us of the different options available which basically differ based on the choice of drink (Alcoholic or Non-alcoholic).

No alcohol for me today, so I automatically go for the juice package, as for Zane, he loves his glass of Merlot and so he chooses a similar package in order to get his wine from the regular menu.

We head out to the food bar to see what lies ahead on this journey. The cold section has an assortment of salads and tacos with an array of desserts set right aside.

Zane heads there while I go straight to the head chef for a hot breakfast option...

He gets himself the different salad varieties while I wait for the chef to spoil my palate.

Wow!!

My plate lands on the table and I'm in aweee at the perfect plating, eyefeeding alert.

The waffles and nuts with some chocolate dripping sauce emanate a perfect infusion with the strawberry slices. PERFECT choice!!

Zane enjoyed his salads as well and effortlessly cleared his plate.

We were up for the main meal now...

I was in love with what the chef had done and so I went back to see what he would make for this particular round, Zane went to the grill bar which had steaks, fish and sausages, not such an enticing variety if asked.

He got some steak, sausage and calamaris. Sushi was in the house and so he tossed some salmon maki into his order.

He was eager to dig into his plate and totally enjoyed his sushi for sure! However, he sadly couldn't munch away his entire meal as intended; the steak was rather cold and bland, while the calamaris weren't as succulent as he had anticipated.

I got some mackerel, sausage and calamaris (oh how I loooove the heads). I was however disappointed as they came pan-fried rather than deep fried as I expected them to be when placing the order. The mackerel (which Zane recommended) was surprisingly the best choice on my plate. The sausage was bland...I'm certainly NEVER having such in this lifetime.

I'm still shook that there is a moment in time sausages can taste bad.

My chef special arrived and I fell in taste with every single flavour on my plate. The baby corns were just an awesome twist to the noodles.

Sadly, time ran out before we could try out the desserts.

This wouldn't have been the case had our waiter been courteous enough to inform us before the brunch bar was closed.

It's always a STRUGGLE to leave Brew since the music is usually top notch but this time round my legs were aching to step out.

We salvaged the day by sealing our date with an ice cream treat at Cold Stone...you never go wrong.

Certainly, it's a no brunch at Brew for us, just dancing the night away!!
