Walking down the aisle I am imbued by the oriental bistro touch the restaurant exudes. The casual and trendy ambience is truly catchy to the eye. We find a high table overlooking the views of Langata road.

It's a fine Sunday afternoon, right after getting some spiritual nourishment [attending mass]. Billy and I decide to make our way to the South End Mall to have an experience of our own at Charlie's Bistro. The premium eatery known for its specialty in Lebanese food has been on people's lips for its great cocktails. Moreover, they have a Sunday Brunch @1500 with an all day Happy Hour on selected cocktails; from 11:00A.M to 4:00P.M.

The Brunch menu has a variety from their regular menu with five starter options, five main courses and two dessert options.

Totally spoilt for choice on the experimenting.
I go for the Mexican BBQ Chicken wings while Billy orders a serving of their Lebanese Classic Nachos.

Did you know that...The first known appearance of the word “nachos” in English dates to 1949, from the book A Taste of Texas.
The barbeque sauce on the wings was amazing but the wings were rather unjuicy. The Nachos were unsavory and quite a disappointment to Billy. We ordered for our cocktails, which to me were quite appeasing to the eye but not a teaser for the tongue especially the Tahitian twinset. I had to swap with Billy's drink to be in a position to enjoy myself. The mason jar style mug for serving was a plus though.

With a superb job on the presentation, the Lebanese Chicken Caliente which I had lived up to the description given on the menu.

Billy chose the Lebanese Lamb and Bacon burger which was sadly a disappointment for him as it had zero seasoning. The expectations were certainly not met. The horror in anything meaty being flat takes one to the grave!!

For dessert we tried out both options: The Strawberry Mousse and The Bedazzled Ice Cream.

I ended up having the mousse since Billy didn't like the banana infusion.

Sluuuuurp!

I love me some bananas any day any time. However, I believe this should be something the waiter points out to a client when taking an order.

From my experience, I would be confident to say: Opinion can be endured as long as truth is free to dissect it.

Have a blessed foodified weekend!!
